With colder temperatures, the friction between peak district gritstone and your hands and feet increases, giving climbers the edge on routes at the limit of their ability. It’s no coincidence that at this time of year the comparatively short routes of the Peak District are at their busiest as climbers chose 10-15m bursts of delicate, rewarding climbing over long mountain routes lost in the mist.
If you’d like to join us for rock climbing, a half day session starts from just £26, and is next available on Sunday 29 January 2017.
