Flatwater Kayaking

Kayaking in the Peak District

Kayaking in the Peak District

Kayaks are small single-person boats, that are paddled with a double-ended paddle. You’ll progress really quickly, but sometimes you might lose concentration and take an accidental early bath! If so don’t worry, because you’ll be accompanied by a qualified instructor, who will help you back in to your boat and give you lots of tips to help stay upright in your boat.

An idyllic kayaking venue, Toddbrook reservoir provides an the ideal location to learn some new skills, complete a short journey, play some games and explore the edge of the Goyt Valley from a totally different perspective. The chance to cool off and get wet are definite summer bonuses!

Kayaking is suitable for all from age 10 upwards. You’ll need to be water confident (able to swim 25 meters).
